Shop Progress

There were two Mail Days this past month! It always makes my week to know I even have one package to send out to someone :) Now that the shop has been up and running for the past two months, I've developed a decent workflow and balance with the rest of my life.

There was a lot of upfront work before the opening, but since then, my goal has been to complete one or two shop-related tasks per week, to ensure there's continuous momentum and improvement and that I've got stock ready to go for when orders come in.

August tasks included:

• Creating new Bakunawa stickers

• Designing three new sticky note pads

• Improving the shipping process by 1) adding new options in the shop based on the actual items in a customer’s order and 2) integrating a new shipping software that has let me lower all the rates (I’m really excited about this in particular hahaha)

Isa Poster!

View on Instagram. I drew Isa in this pose for an upcoming collab with other comic artists. After completing the rendering on her character, I decided to make a poster out of it, so here we are! I did not anticipate loving the end-result as much as I do lol and I think once I reach another milestone with the webtoon, I'll create posters with a similar theme for N2 as well.

Phrase 3 Progress

A major milestone in PH3 was completed in August: The establishing shots of The Distribution 🩶 Here is one that I shared on Instagram:

I’ll be sharing another one as a promo animation for PH3! And then of course, you’ll see them all in the actual episode once it’s published :)

Other than environments, I've spent most of this month inking fight scene panels that have been queued up for the past few weeks. I'm happy with my August progress and will keep up the energy for September! Sometimes the work feels endless, but the only way out is through. Just need to keep going!

Preparing for a Patreon!

If you actually read these blog posts, then shout out to you because you heard it here first. Creating a Patreon is actually a goal that I’ve had for awhile, so it feels a bit surreal to finally discuss it publicly. Fast facts:

• Starting out, there will be two tiers: one for $1.50/month, the other for $5.00/month.

• First lower tier is a tip jar that grants early access to all the work I share + shop discounts.

• Second higher tier is everything from the first tier + a quarterly stationary club! Every three months, I’ll send members a pack of stickers and other shop items that’ll cost the equivalent of $15-$20.

• Target launch date is July 1, 2026.

Here are the milestones I’ve set out to complete before the launch:

• Publish up to at least Phrase 4 of Bulgogi Punks

• Have 1.5 years’ worth of stationary club packs designed

• Have 1 year’s worth of stationary club packs physically created and in-house

This month, I figured out the hypothetical packs and how many new designs of stickers/sticky notes/etc. will be needed in order to meet the above milestones. Moving forward, a section of these monthly blog updates will be dedicated to tracking the progress.

While the Patreon is tied to all of my creative work, the main project and motivation to even exist in the first place is the stationary club 😊 lol I'm excited to lay the groundwork for this and design more stuff for it! Just as I discussed above regarding my shop, the goal is to make small but continuous progress.
